sad to say it, but as a huge blazers fan, if it's between polishing up an awesome stadium and not closing schools, I can root for the blazers from afar. there's very little more important than education for kids, and it's bad to bend over backwards and sacrifice schools to meet an owner's demands.

I think there's gotta be a complicated middle where AI has some proportion of juice to bubble, but also the more ppl believe that it virtually defines rationality, the more they'll act out in a "but can AI do *this*" fashion, thus committing humanity to deeper, enweirdening irrationalism.

I think the thing, going back to the stats bro's interpretation, about Shakespeare that makes him so incredible is the way he basically developed early modernism by rejecting Renaissance strictures and doing medieval violence, but upgraded. He broke the rules of his day, and refounded the sublime.

This is a really good longread by left-wing scholar Andrea Ferrario and translated by Left Renewal about the antisemitism of neo-Maoists in China and state-backed antisemitism in the DPRK. I added a figure from the piece below for the tl;dr. /1 leftrenewal.org/articles-en/...
The repertoire
The four recurring motifs in the texts circulating on Chinese neo-Maoist websites
'Jewish capital'
The formula that replaces the word 'Jews' and credits an ethnic group with a single will. In the most recent text it recurs from beginning to end.
Parasitism
An entity that installs itself in a nation, consumes its wealth and moves on to the next. Five hundred years of hegemonies, a single master.
Occult domination
Banks, newspapers, universities, foundations and digital platforms run simultaneously from a single centre. The criterion is not deeds but birth.
World government
The World Economic Forum and freemasonry serving a 'new world order'. The Protocols of the Elders of Zion cited with approval.
Parasitism, disloyalty to nations, occult domination, control of finance and the media, world government: the historical canon of European antisemitism, translated into Chinese.
