The DOGE firings have nothing to do with “efficiency” or “cutting waste.” They’re a direct push to weaken federal agencies perceived as liberal. This was evident from the start, and now the data confirms it: targeted agencies overwhelmingly those seen as more left-leaning. 🧵⬇️

As I advocate for public lands I can attest #hunters and #fishermen take some of the best care of these spaces. I know #DOGE AND THE #FOTUS are actively looking to shrinking #national monuments, parks, and spaces. We can extract resources carefully and efficiently while still protecting our spaces.

Today's photo from the field is a Cloudberry. According to UAF Rubus chamaemorus L. is known in Alaska by several common names However, cloudberry is the name most often used throughout North America. This berry grows almost exclusively in circumpolar regions and is prized in western Alaska.
