Jim Henson was born on this day in 1936.

Edward Hopper's 'Nighthawks', but the man and woman at the counter of the diner are now Fozzie and Miss Piggy. The guy with his back to us is now Bert, but Bert is being operated by Frank Oz, who is crouched down in front of the counter. The waiter/server is now Jim Henson who is looking intently at Kermit, and Kermit, who is occupying half of Jim's right arm, is looking intently at Jim. The diner is now called "JIMMYS".

Lost a dear friend unexpectedly OTD five years ago. Every day, without fail, he'd text me "Good morning...I love you" and you know what? That helped keep me going no matter what. Be that light for others. Never be afraid to share love. 💜 I still have his final text, to remind me.

Do yourself a favor and leave your phone in the other room. Pick up a book and read it uninterrupted for a long time. Pay attention and notice how good it feels not to be constantly interrupted by digital notifications. It's a miracle that we used to live like this. We don't know what we're missing.
