I also find it strange that very few seem to notice that the Title IX info was public record, Geller built a large platform, so he made the circumstance by which this might get brought back up, it just took someone looking.

We live in a society that punishes people who are assaulted. We question them, we shame them, we disbelieve them. Many survivors instinctively do that societal work for us. Survivors question themselves, they shame themselves, they don't believe their own version of events. We've trained them!

Cornell is a perfect example, its mostly rich and/or white men and the victim comes from a far poorer background. The school wouldnt let Jane Doe leave and be reimbursed her tuition in order to go heal. Unless we meaningfully dismantle white supremacy, patriarchy and capitalism it will continue.

Rapists arent some magical anomoly type of person. It happens because of oppurtunity, power, the dehumanizing effect of bigotry and the belief they will get away with and deserve it. Which is also why the likelihood of being a victim is higher when multiply marginalized. Its not just a sexism issue.
