Living with a cat means keeping really specific pieces of garbage for his entertainment. Like a giant twist tie he treats as a toy or piece of crinkly plastic he treats as a bed and thing to roll on or the cardboard box hes been napping in for like 2 years.

I love seeing all the trans spiderwoman art but why Petra? We already know canonically what a woman peter parker would choose for her name, Jessica, cause of Jessica Drew the woman clone of Peter in the ultimate comics(who is not the 616 Jessica Drew). Like this is at the top of her wiki page:

And I've become this other thing. I'm not Peter Parker. I'm not Peter Parker. I'm not even a boy. I'm Jessica Drew.

I saw people getting mad about her statements about the casting, went to look further, they twisted it to "shes against non white people being in it" when what she said was Nolan trips into regressive tropes with some of the specific roles by not thinking about race/racist tropes.

The race-neutral casting of Nolan’s Odyssey was inevitably deplored in some quarters. But there is nothing progressive about it. Most of the non-white actors – Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Himesh Patel, Corey Antonio Hawkins, Travis Scott – play versions of the Black best friend, whose only role in the drama is to provide aid to the white protagonist. Scott, as the Ithacan bard, Phemius, yells a few words and pounds a stick, but does not get to sing, tell a story or play the lyre: the most melodic note in the percussive soundtrack comes from the plucking of Odysseus’ bow (a beautiful sonic image of the archer as musician, borrowed from the poem). Nyong’o’s double part as Helen and Clytemnestra is hugely underwritten; she is given only a few minutes of screen time to perform a set of brief tableaux of female victims (the outraged bereaved mother, the abused wife, the repentant adulteress).

Assignment 11, silhouette challenge "fog eater". Mine is named for its digestion method, waiting in deeper swamp water for unwitting victims to step into its maw, it consumes them using a fog in its transparent insides. It likes to sunbathe once it begins digestion.

A strange lumpy dinosauresque creature with no discernible eyes, large thick legs, a circular large mouth at the top of its body and a see through stomach which you can see the light impression of some of its decaying victims through the dark acidic fog inside. A hand is trying to pull itself out of the mouth. The creature stands in a mangrove swamp, its feet submerged in murky water, many trees behind it stretching out into the distance.

Assignment 10 gamut enforcer

A heavily plated knight with a large mace smashed into the ground towards camera, the splatter of what was once a head beneath it, movement lines following behind its swing arc, the knights shield held aloft to his left, a color gamut breaching the rules of this black and white sketch based world.

Assignment 9 Jellyfish Festival

3 different types o Jellyfish drag ribbons around a maypole, which is lit mostly by their bioluminscence. 2 more Jellyfish swim in the distance, bits of light rays scatter across from the top right toward the bottom left, the impression of distant rocks barely visible through the dark water behind it al.

Assignment 7 album covers, I did the second album from Terrestrial Decay, Tinea and Xid's band. Pen made a cover for their debut.

An album cover, the title Metamorphose in white curvy lettering is at the top and bottom inverted so if you rotate it 90 degrees the top one is always upright. The majority of the cover consists of white impressions on a black backdrop of the life cycles of a moth and axolotl rotating around in a loop, the end of each leading into the beginning of the other.

Assignment 6 sheep amoeba hybrid, I thought it would be funny to make a giant Taumoeba sheep that eats entire suns whole.

Space, stars in the distance, a sun close to camera is in the maw of a great sheep like amoeba which mostly blots out the sky behind it. Several dimming stars already inside its mass.

Assignment 5 evil capybara knight.

An intimidating warrior stands above the camera, a large sword lifted up to swing down, a capybara skull at its waits, torn black tunic underneath jagged metal armor, a cute capybara head stares down as it prepares to strike.

Assignment 4 medieval bunker:

A wood and sod structure in the middle of its field, the logs facing the camera, a pitch black cave opening at the center of them. White lizard like eyes peer out from the darkness, a bit of breathe becoming smokelike in the winter air. Spikes surround the structure, one with blood on it has a trail of blood leading from it to the entrance. Dead trees stand in the distance behind.

Tinea's hand holds a pair of strange ornate scissors, its blades edge seemingly of another reality, which it cuts through to leaving a gash in the air where purple energy leaks out.

Assignment 1 was a fanart challenge to draw another cadet, I drew @ryanbarrycg.bsky.social's entry Wiktoria. Also to not repeat alt text, all drawings from here on are done in a sketchy black and white style.

An armored bard sits on a tree branch, playing her flute for a nearby small black bird.

The cadet theme was battle of the bands, I made a silkworm moth guitarist name Tinea who is dating and in a band with Pen's axolotl cadet Xid.

A poster showing a leather vest and leather skirt wearing silkworm moth guitarist. Her guitar base resembles a purple fire. She has large wings, fuzzy white fur everywhere, large black eyes, and exoskeleton human like hands. At the top of the poster is her name Tinea Seric, and at the bottom the words Friday, June 13th, 1997, Louis' Pub, 103-93 Campus Dr.

When Cilian is really enjoying the sun he'll almost sigh go hmmmmmmmmmmm and it is extremely cute. He likes to sit in the window above my desk when Pen and I are working until he gets overheated and then he passes out on another perch near us to cool off.

Every once in a while someone decides to leave a comment that proves the entire point. There is no better summation of privileged priority of comfort than saying "jeapordize my comfort" like this while doing the reverse bigotry nonsense.

Someone posted referencing the literacy meme, she quotes saying she wants to fix social media, and someone asks a legitimate question about the state of the sites moderation ie about fixing it.
