Radio silence? Never fear, our founder has an update for you on why we disappeared! buttondown.com/AradiaCollective/arc… #MagicalGirls #AradiaCollective #MahoShoujo #comicCollective #comics

Aradia herself, as drawn by the founder NAAN comically, is sitting at a table as if she were holding a press conference. Behind her, a flag that says MAGICAL GIRLS ARE PRETTY NEAT and in front of her, a magical mic. She also has on a big red bow around her neck.

[OC art: semi-naked lady, skulls and skeletons, blood and possible gore] One of my favorite Celi images. I have a brand when it comes to images like this and it's Mystical Maximalism with a bit 'o Dada Language Takes. Always meant to be open to […] [Original post on sakurajima.moe]

Color picture of a woman with bat/devil wings floating above a water basin. The woman appears to be smiling at the skull floating in the water basin. The skull itself has some hair that is "growing" / floating out the water. The skull is also staring at the woman floating above it, as if in silent answer.

The basin itself has blood splotches on it, being held by three naked figures a la Atlas holding the Earth. Lower along the pillar under the basin, is a headless figure tied to the pillar with four "screens." The headless figure's "head" is shadowed onto the pillar in a similar fashion to shadows painted onto walls after a nuclear bomb. Blood marks the outline further of the "head."

Two of the screens are hidden, backs towards to us, but the two in front have text. The one on the left says "I am the daughter of a god creature" and the one on the right says "in seinem Lebenswelt, URANIA PANDEMA OR APOTROPHIA?"

It's my birthdayyy. All I got is posting this very, very old piece for my comic Ara & Celi, which is still one of my favorites. Ara in her non-angel form, Miyara and Kimberly, the horse. Wait, pony. Wait, what? I only wish I had been faster so I could have […] [Original post on sakurajima.moe]

Color picture. Features three characters: an older woman wearing a dress and shawl, Ara; a young girl, with a fancy looking leather jacket and matching pants, Miyara; and a cartoony pony dressed in a fancy bikini popping out of a very delicious cake that Ara was holding--and it's also why Ara looks shocked and despondent, while Miyara just seems to be going with the flow and dancing.

We only hope the pony knew how to hold her breath inside the cake...

Bright, peachy summer? Naaah, how about something reserved, somber...even old-school galactic? Did this last year for @aradiacollective 's (free) summer zine last year, appropriately titled "Summer in Aradia!" […] [Original post on sakurajima.moe]

Color picture. The entire thing is almost "colored" by the sea of stars under Ara, as the stars show a path following Ara's walk in the water. Her hands are extended to the sides, splashing and rippling the water more. She's looking up, almost wanting to look away, with a somber expression. She's dressed in a swimsuit that covers most of her upper half, with two-fold fancy sleeves that end nearly at her elbows. Her swimsuit is a gradient of colors, mainly turquoise and purple, in part again because her entire body is colored by the light and dark of the sea of stars.

After some trying around for my magical girl character, I settled for the 3rd (on the right) version. For the first versions I tried (too?) hard to not make it look too similar to the PreCure season that inspired the whole thing. Wpuld you prefer one of the others? 🤔 #CharacterDesign #MagicalGirl

Character designs, showing the same character, a magical girl, in the same pose but different outfits. The design on the left features a short yellow dress that is skewed to one side, pink frills and light yellow gloves, something like a small yellow hat and a long side ponytail. The second design features a different hairstyle, orange hair with a two-part bun and a longer braid on that side. The dress features a broad dark green belt, a yellow cover that covers i e breast, a similarly skewed skirt and boots. The last one has the same hairstyle but the hair color is light yellow, the dress features a highlighted breast section, a skirt with a light yellow ribbon and a yellow round shell and an underskirt, dark suspender stockings, more elegant shoes, and long gloves.
