Hi honey, I'm home. Now begins the travail of removing myself from FB.

The message put up by FB to force me to conform to their adverts or pay.

So, if Donald Trump is now exhibiting signs of end stage delusion isn't it time for the American grown ups to finally put him to bed? Being President isn't a passport to being insane in charge of a country surely?

Day 12 Lost in the forest - spot the septic tank

An overgrown set of steps leading around the back of an abandoned house, all very overgrown with bushes and ivy.

She looks like my girl Raven, sadly lost a few years ago. Her coat was so soft.

Day 20. Two tiny china kitties I bought at the sale on Sunday.

A brown striped and a blue striped model cat sitting on a brown wooden desk top. Each cat is about the length of my thumb.

If anyone is in Lydney today between 12-4pm I'll be at the Taproom behind Taurus crafts. We have a craft stall at the Flea market there.

Small abstract artwork in greens, orange and yellow. Green background with two orange rectangles arranged horizontally and separated by a wavy yellow line.

Day 17. Mind the Gap. Bit of scrappy artwork, trying to make some saleable monoprints for a local market on Saturday.

Gelli plate monoprint, two gold fish swimming against a green/black background.

Day 11. Ponies in the distance. Although we are nowhere near the main blast of Storm Éowyn it's dreadfully windy here, which is hard to show in a still photo.

A rough meadow, burdock seed heads in the foreground, three ponies facing into the wind and bare branches of trees in the distance against a steely sky.

Day 10 Late Christmas present. This rather gorgeous cushion was gifted to me by a dear artist friend, handmade from old sweaters and ispired by the painting of Howard Hodgkin.

A large decorative cushion in reds, purple and black. Made from woollen material appliqued with rectangular panels and oversewn with additional fibres to represent painted textures.

Day 9 Another day, another sunrise.

A very dramatic sunrise glow looking through black leafless trees.

Day 8 Rising tide: the Severn at Newnham

Looking out over the River Severn at Newnham. The picture is take from the bank looking down river. There is a drainage channel cut into the foreground and some buildings and tree further along. It is grey and overcast but calm and quiet.

Day 7: Pony eating grass. I'm hoping this stray will come to stay later in the week with his friends.

Close up head shot of a pony eating grass. Bay brown with a shaggy mane.

Day 6, only two days late! The rather fabulous brownie cake my grandson had for his sixth birthday party.

A pyramid of cubes of brownie bites, on a bamboo tray with six candles alight on it. One candle is shaped as a number six. The hands of young children can be seen behind it.

Day 5. A bit of farming emphemera. An old can found in a barn.

Day 4. I've failed already since we're on Day 5. I didn't exactly forget yesterday but the fog was so thick it was impossible to take any pictures. Is my story. Here we have two cows who had no interest in having their pictures taken at all.

Two cows viewed from the rear. One is a Belted Galloway, black with broad white stripe around its middle, the other, I think, is a British Long horn but I've no confirmation of that. It has big pointy horns anyway.

Day 3. Windows in a barn, showing stones damaged by inappropriate render coating.

View of part of an elevation of a stone built barn with two floors. The lower window is shuttered and the upper one is glassed. The stone is reddish and damaged by age and weather.

Pssht, no editing. I meant to day a photo from around my area each day.

This place seems like a large echoey hall at the moment. I think I'll try for some engagement. Starting today, a photo from around my area. They won't be good but think of it as a journalling tool.

A sunrise with an orange band on the horizon and a glorious pink glow behind bruised purple clouds. In the foreground, a dutch barn and leafless trees.

Same cat, some time later. Welcome to all the new arrivals.

Old black cat curled up with his nose under his tail on a very hairy seat cushion.

Why, when I have a houseparty for my birthday coming this weekend is my husband rebuilding the radiator system, including vacuuming between the joists? And for anyone on here who follows me anywhere else this goes no further. I have to say something or I'll explode.

It does indeed but at least for now it's much less frenetic and shorter on jeopardy. Build your timeline by following feeds, there isn't the same #hashtag thing here exactly.

Etiquette question: You offer an invite code to someone appropriate and they accept with alacrity? You know they recieved the code. How long do you wait for them to use it before you offer it to someone else? A day, a week, forever?

Picked the pumpkins. The orange ones were an F1 variety chosen for the kids to carve but I won't bother again, half of them rotted on the vine in the last couple of weeks. #GardeningFeed 🌱

Two wheelbarrows filled with a mixture of orange and blue-green pumpkins. There are some overgrown courgettes, also known as marrows, hiding in the bottom of the second barrow.

I love everything about October. The cooler weather, the shorter days, baking, foliage, Halloween, everything! 🍂 This is The Witch by Lucien Lévy-Dhurmer, 1897. www.alamy.com/stock-photo-...

Color drawing (pastel and charcoal, maybe?) of a beautiful pale white woman all wrapped up in dark robes, holding a glass bottle and wand. A bright blue snake coils around the wand and bright blue lizard crawl up her sleeve, while a black cat crouches on her shoulders. It’s a lot like the archaic portrayal of witches all surrounded by animal familiars, but she is beautiful, elegant, and confident.
