I love everything about October. The cooler weather, the shorter days, baking, foliage, Halloween, everything! 🍂 This is The Witch by Lucien Lévy-Dhurmer, 1897. www.alamy.com/stock-photo-...

Color drawing (pastel and charcoal, maybe?) of a beautiful pale white woman all wrapped up in dark robes, holding a glass bottle and wand. A bright blue snake coils around the wand and bright blue lizard crawl up her sleeve, while a black cat crouches on her shoulders. It’s a lot like the archaic portrayal of witches all surrounded by animal familiars, but she is beautiful, elegant, and confident.

By very tenuous connection, I have been playing about with AI picture creator & did one recently using as the theme, Cats & Halloween in the style of Pieter Bruegel the elder. This was the result- not sure what the creatures in the trees are tho!

Also, today our church celebrated the Feast of St Francis, where people bring their animals to be blessed. I wish blessings to all the animals of Bluesky, and to their human companions.

Welcome to my life

Steve, a black cat, chilling on my shoulders (again) while I try to do other things.
