Maybe I just need to try a new distro but I tried Linux Mint and very quickly discovered that there are things I want my computer to do that Linux just did not do (or maybe just didn't have easily searchable solutions) and retreated to the safety and comfort of my Stockholm syndrome with Windows

It's just a bit much, yeah. I don't hate it as much as I did initially but I still never really feel like doing it again. It's a little easier to stomach on NG+ when you already have all the Scadu collected, it's really tough to feel motivated to get there on a fresh character.

I like how the only thing not called a sandwich for the calorie counts on the breakfast menu is the only one that actually has a picture of a sandwich, which is also very clearly a cheeseburger and not breakfast.

If I'm correct it's because Democratic electeds and consultants want to win by default, that is reach a political equilibrium in which the GOP are seen as too extreme to govern, and a plurality of voters have no choice but to elect Democrats. This results in sliding right and taking the temperature.

If your claim is that it is important that they win elections, you should want them to not do this, and should work towards that goal. You can do that! You can have sway over politicians, by committing to a principled stance and demanding the same of your elected officials.
