After moving to SoCal several years ago I basically stopped knitting Recently I’ve been trying to get back into it since it’s nice to have something to do with my hands Picked up yarn in Iceland and made my mug a sweater :)

My hand holds up a large handmade mug which is wrapped in a band knitted from grey wool into a simple cable pattern. It’s fastened with small brown buttons. A cat lies in my lap underneath

I ran mint retrograde for damage and third iteration (exotic void scout) to deal with void hunger & get easy acolyte head shots to generate orbs, plus special finisher for ammo—because J ran the lightsaber, but with Strongholds for protection

It was so much fun figuring out our loadouts. Lightsaber for barrier? No, I died too much. Void Hunter? Great for survival but did too little damage. Prismatic Titan did more damage but I died a lot. I landed on solar titan (healing) and Hazardous Propulsion (burst damage)

I remember spending literally 100 attempts when we first did the Lightblade grandmaster, a few years ago This felt like that process all over again, because we had to contend with pressure cooker (kicked to orbit after 24 minutes) & ZERO revives. You lived to the end or we reset from the beginning

The presenter has been in a two week habitat sim before, and while they found a lot of ways to improve accessibility, there was always the out of “the sighted person can do it so we don’t *have* to make it accessible for you” But that’s not possible if everyone is blind—it forces accessibility

My contrarian take on Pluto and planethood is that this is an opportunity to get excited about the whole roster of Dwarf Planets, many of which are named after other mythological figures beyond the Greeks! A piece of crop art that deserves more attention: Liberty Leading the People by Bethany Nagan, which earned a 3rd place ribbon. This is her first piece of crop art, and I think she used literally every seed in the catalog 😂. The parallels between this and the Guernica piece are beautiful.

Liberty Leading the People made of crop art. Liberty has been replaced with a loon, the French flag with Minnesota's flag, and the guns with resistance signs. It includes many other references and allusions to the resistance to ICE and Operation Metro Surge.
