#QueerPrompts Oct 14 There’s a key chapter in The Need for Dandelions near the beginning in which Galen confronts Sasha about the way he’s been treating him. It was one of the first scenes I had fully formed in the book. Sasha was a bully, and he spends the rest of the book making up for it.

After meeting and becoming friends with a lot of nonbinary people, something about me finally clicked. I never felt like either of the binary genders, not really. I tried to suppress it for most of my life, but finally leaning in and trying out they/them pronouns made me feel that sense of euphoria.
