I Feed Her to the Beast and the Beast is Me is the best book I've read in months and I devoured it like the ballerinas in this story devour each other. Book is by @wickedjamison.bsky.social

Cover of the book I Feed Her to the Beast and the Beast is Me which depicts a young woman's face floating in a river of blood

Welp, the games industry got me in the end. My writing contract has been unexpectedly terminated. I am looking for work. I have experience as a Writer and Narrative Designer on indie projects, primarily branching narrative. Any and all leads are greatly appreciated

I love my Starfield character. Rowdy Space Grandma for hire 🔫

Character creation image from Starfield. Selected background is Ronin: which consists of Dueling, Scavenging, and Stealth skills. The character is an elderly woman with a nose piercing and short haircut. She is wearing a spacesuit.

Announcing a new project from the Odyssey Collective! We're looking for writers for a Planescape project, focused on creating some truly strange and wonderful NPCs to populate Sigil, the City of Doors, to be released on DMsGuild! Submission form: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

Two dabus, horned humanoids with grey skin and wispy white hair, dressed in gold-adorned red robes, stand before an orange-pink sunset over the sharp grey skyline of Sigil. Text on the right of the image reads “Call for writers”

Quick spoiler-free thoughts on Saw X: Really liked the first half. It completely lost me in the second half.

It's fucking wild that CEO/Company bosses can run companies like this and be fine. They'll keep running the place while people lose their jobs.

For a while now, we've been spending way more money than we earn, investing in the next evolution of Epic and growing Fortnite as a metaverse-inspired ecosystem for creators. I had long been optimistic that we could power through this transition without layoffs, but in retrospect I see that this was unrealistic.

as someone who's 0% game dev, i can't speak to much of the Unity stuff in any intelligent way. but I will say it's generally not a good sign for something when it's managed to universally piss off the game dev folks i follow to the point that it feels like i'm watching a council of angry wizards

100%: I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you're a player and want better games - support the labor movement among developers! We need your to help put pressure on execs to treat us better and agree to bargain! Better-treated people make better things!
