The first I imagine the final scene wants the characters to be readable, so they don't change how they look much (altho tbf I do feel like it's odd that Kinger looks so young) To the second point, individuals' trans journeys are not consistent or linear, and Goose is probably just repping that

Obviously for the first two it's the same in the US, but I'm honestly not sure about cyclists here. Our *infrastructure* certainly despises them and tries to make it as hard as possible to safely ride one, but idk if the average person really has strong opinions

ill say it here again, the thing about Quinns is the man is an A+ reviewer. He has particular taste - a reviewer should have taste! It's the whole point of a review! I’ve been thinking about more and more about Quinn’s condemnation of ‘power fantasy’ fantasy gaming as 'artistically hollow', again - and also a lot about Stephen R Donaldson’s essay 'Epic Fantasy in the Modern World' in which he discusses what fantasy actually has to say about the human condition.

I mean, counterpoint, the argument Quinns made (which is what we're referring to here) lumped in games like Draw Steel and Daggerheart in "games like D&D" which I find to be a bit of a stretch. Both those games have significantly more artistic vision than D&D ever has
