$5,800 donation to the Sask United Party by "Anonymous, Anonymous" (which is very much illegal in our province). $465,000 loan aka donation by the Sask United Party leader's corporation (which is legal). We need reform of our ridiculously weak political donation laws.

I wrote a letter recently. Here is the completely inadequate response from our Justice Minister. I guess I am wrong, we have a robust and transparent political donation process. Silly me. Pathetic.
Letter from Justice Minister of Saskatchewan addressed to me defending lax donation laws on the basis that they are not actually lax but in fact very robust and transparent. Silly me.

The SIPPA program is important in that it provides a stream of physicians entering our province who otherwise wouldn’t. I’m very curious about the medium to long term retention rates though as it seems they so rarely stay in our province.

Grewal was an MLA when he violated the COI act to the tune of nearly $1M. Deciding not to run in the next election should not confer any sort of immunity from consequences of this. Moe just looks weak here. Again.
“When was the last time that a private citizen was summoned or subpoenaed by the legislature? I don’t know that that’s ever happened,” Moe said Thursday regarding the NDP’s failed emergency motion to have Grewal appear before the legislative assembly and answer questions about the hotel controversy.

On Monday, Moe committed to a review of the act over the next year but made no specific comment regarding fines against former MLAs.

Does the Premier realize that Urgent Care Clinics do not in fact "ensure that people have access to a primary health care provider?" Urgent Care Clinics provide episodic care, not primary care. It's a bit alarming to see him so misinformed on the issue.

Scott Moe logic: In July our inflation rate was low because we weren't paying Carbon Tax on home heating. Meanwhile, in October when we actually started heating our homes our inflation rate increased and we were 5th lowest because... oh, we won't talk about that.
Screenshot of a tweet from Scott Moe published in August which states: "SK continues to have the lowest inflation rate among the provinces, according to StatsCan. That’s largely due to our government’s decision to take the Trudeau-NDP carbon tax off home heating.

SK is the most affordable place in Canada to live. Let’s keep our economy strong and our future bright."

I’m hearing about multiple schools with whooping cough exposures in Saskatoon. Worth getting a swab if you are experiencing symptoms www.saskhealthauthority.ca/your-health/...
What are the symptoms?

Early symptoms of whooping cough are similar to a common cold and can last for 1 to 2 weeks. Symptoms may include:

A runny nose.
A fever.
A mild cough.
Apnea in babies. This is a slight pause in breathing.
Later-stage symptoms happen after 1 or 2 weeks and can last for 10 weeks or more. Symptoms include:

Spells of coughing that are rapid and are followed by a "whoop" sound.
Vomiting during or after coughing fits.
Exhaustion after coughing fits.
Recovery from whooping cough can happen slowly. The cough becomes milder and happens less often. Coughing fits can still happen with other respiratory infections.

I love how the ministry of health can just decide if they want to pay doctors or not often times based on arbitrary rules. This happens on a smaller scale every day. My favourite is when a diabetic patient books in for a review appointment 89 days after their last one instead of the required 90.
