Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 31/08/2025@tssf.bsky.social Hey, we’re you planning to ever do a Synthetic Origins of Mystic Quest? I was just thinking of how good that would likely sound because that game has nice music but kinda has the most rinky-dink sound quality of all the SNES Final Fantasy games. It’s a lot smaller in scope too. 110
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 17/07/2025@tssf.bsky.social Hey, have you ever thought of recreating the bonus unused tracks from All Sounds of Final Fantasy I + II with FamiTracker? I know you did an FF6-style “Battle 3” but I was thinking it would be cool to have those tracks with the original sound without the CD’s filtering and reverb. 120
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 24/06/2025I would use BlueSky a lot more if it let you turn on post notifications for people you follow. Some people I especially want to hear from and seeing they posted on Twitter would bring me in and then I’d look at other things afterward. How do they not have such a basic, engagement-boosting feature? 020
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 12/03/2025@iridescentaudio.bsky.social Hey, I wanna tell you that you and CHz intrigued me enough by your posts that I checked out Alien Soldier many years ago and it quickly became a favorite of mine that still looms large in my mind in some way. 130

Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 20/12/2024Still love this. Feels like it gets at the little part of me that lingers from my childhood that was excited about this time of year instead of it just being another set of days that become weeks that become a month that is over. 110
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 16/11/2024I haven’t bought a ton of gear lately, but I did see Suzanne Vega, Death Cab For Cutie and The Postal Service, PJ Harvey, and David Gilmour this year, all of which were great, of course. Never thought I’d get to see The Postal Service, and I’m so glad I got to see Gilmour with my own two eyes. 130
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 14/11/2024Not sure why people are suddenly following me. Look at my new Antigua P-Bass, I guess. 160
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 14/04/2024Finally got myself a Flower Pedals Dandelion tremolo/harmonic tremolo. I’ve wanted to get one for the past few years but it wasn’t a high enough priority before. It’s pretty much the perfect tremolo with all the control you could want and it’s compact and attractive. 100
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 10/04/2024I put EMG SA pickups in a Strat to see for myself how they are. I was, of course, inspired by David Gilmour because I think his guitar tone on Delicate Sound of Thunder is among the best ever. I always read that active pickups sound so different from passive, but that’s not what I’m experiencing. 100
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 28/02/2024It’s my birthday today and I don’t very much like the idea of celebrating my own getting older. But I can remember this as the day I got tickets to see PJ Harvey in September. Might even see her twice. 120
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 07/02/2024Got an Amplified Parts order in with a reverb tank for my Princeton (“Bordeaux Reserve” wine red tolex/wheat grille cloth), and some other stuff. I’m not a big fan of the really springy spring reverb sound, so I like the MOD 3-spring short decay tanks. Sounds more natural than most reverb pedals. 110

Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 25/01/2024I have seen more references to Marc Ribot and his guitar playing on this app than I ever have anywhere else in all my life combined. That must say something about the demographics on here, but I don’t really know what. 010
Reposted by Antigua TelecasterLee Bruemmer @lbruem.bsky.social · 25/01/2024Annoying everyone by claiming that "humbucker" only be used to refer to Gibson-specific guitar pickup designs and that, historically speaking, the proper general term for any 2-coil noise cancelling pickup should actually be "Butts-Lover" 111
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 22/01/2024Fender made an absolute ton of guitars in midnight wine. It was a color option for the MIM Standard guitars and basses for around a decade. I think it’s really great, looks very refined, but I think a rosewood fretboard would match better, so I bought an AmPro II neck. Now I have one classy guitar. 251
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 20/01/2024My enthusiasm for Telecasters extends to basses. This is a Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Bass, a body shape Fender has never made themselves, although G&L has an ASAT Bass that looks very much like this. It’s a 32” scale with a “Duncan Designed” ‘51 Precision Bass (Antiquity I) pickup. 140
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 15/01/2024The vintage EHX Polyphase and the modern Stereo Polyphase. The Stereo isn’t really a reissue, lacking an envelope filter mode but adding a lot of tweakability. I think the base phasing sound is nicer in the original, but the Stereo gives manual control of the start and stop of the frequency sweep. 000
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 08/01/2024New pedal day: the SolidGoldFX If 6 Was 9 MKII. It’s an attempt at making the ultimate Fuzz Face clone. The BC183 transistors are said to straddle the line between the sound of germanium and silicon, the voltage control can simulate a dying battery, and bias can give it that velcro ripping sound. 240

Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 02/01/2024Today is the 55th anniversary of The Beatles starting production on the Get Back/Let It Be project, so to mark the occasion I’ve started watching the Get Back documentary for the first time since it came out. Even if it isn’t their best work, still, what a great thing to be able to witness. 431

Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 25/12/2023I’d like to share a very sweet Christmas song by one of my favorite artists, Jeff Kelly of The Green Pajamas. It was written for his two daughters when they were very young. Probably makes them cry now. If you happen upon this, please give it a listen. thegreenpajamas1.bandcamp.com/track/christ... 010
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 24/12/2023Hark! The Fromel Seraph Deluxe sings. This is a chorus pedal based on the Roland Dimension D rack unit, which applies two separate but correlated choruses to the left and right channels. It had four preset buttons, while this pedal includes that functionality with the switches and a manual mode. 120
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 20/12/2023DigiTech Hardwire RV-7 and Polara reverbs. These are highly regarded pedals, in large part because they use algorithms developed by Lexicon (though only the plate reverb is claimed to be one of the classic Lexicon reverbs). The RV-7 commands high asking prices, but is mostly the same as the Polara. 110
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 19/12/2023I just bought front row center tickets to see Suzanne Vega next year. That plus Death Cab for Cutie/The Postal Service makes two concerts already scheduled for next year, up from my grand total of zero concerts this year. 000
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 18/12/2023I recorded the guitar on this for my Romanian Discord friend, who wrote the song and made the rest of the instrumental and got another Discord friend of his to sing it. I used my Univox 12-string for the chords and my Antigua Telecaster (naturally) for the high single notes. youtu.be/umV_sxTkTSU 110
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 15/12/2023@weirdguita.rs I assumed when I saw it that this was something weird from the ‘60s. I was dumbfounded to see that it’s a current production guitar costing $1,000. eastwoodguitars.com/products/eas... 210

Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 15/12/2023Electro-Harmonix Linear Power Booster LPB-1 and LPB-2 The LPB-1 was the company’s first product. It’s a clean boost: just a transistor in a box with in and out jacks, a pot to control amplification, an on/off switch, and a battery connection. The LPB-2 is the same in guitar pedal form. 210
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 14/12/20231983 Boss HM-2 I’m not a big fan of the orange Boss distortions, but this one and the Metal Zone are better since they have more EQ control. The HM-2 surprisingly doesn’t have much more gain than a DS-1, but it doesn’t have that fizzy, mid-scooped sound that pairs poorly with my Fender amp. 130

Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 12/12/2023The Soul Preacher compressor, whose circuit the Deluxe Big Muff integrates, except this has a treble boost switch. It seems the prevailing trend of the time for compressor pedals in the ‘70s was to be very unsubtle. This thing can only squash, there is no light tone thickening/sweetening setting. 100
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 11/12/2023I have this beautiful Deluxe Big Muff Pi from the late ‘70s. It’s pretty different from modern Deluxes. It combines the opamp Big Muff circuit with a slightly more limited Soul Preacher compressor. The two can be used in series or parallel with the blend switch, each with different strengths. 130
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 10/12/2023My lovely Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Octave Multiplexer, presumably from the late ‘70s. I bought it with bass in mind more than guitar. Despite its designer, Howard Davis, saying he thinks he made the best possible analog octaver, the tracking isn’t as good as the Boss OC-2, but it did predate that. 000
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 09/12/2023Here’s an oddity, the DOD FX45 Stereo Reverb. Produced from 1985-1987, it’s an analog reverb pedal, which is a very rare thing because the technology was barely up to snuff and was quickly surpassed in quality by digital processing. It uses MN3011 bucket brigade devices to achieve its effect. 100
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 08/12/2023Got tickets to see Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service. I didn’t even know they were touring until it was over and it turned out they didn’t come very close to me. But now they extended the tour and are playing only an hour away from me, so I was ready the moment the tickets went on sale. 000
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 08/12/2023My last unusual vintage Fender for now, the Solid State Reverb. This is from their line of then-cutting edge solid state guitar amps, PA gear, and effects units in 1966. The Fender Blender (see my post from yesterday) was also styled to fit in with the series and the tape delay got a facelift too. 110
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 07/12/2023This is a 1971 Fender Blender octave fuzz, one of the few guitar pedals they made in the old days. They recently put out a Kevin Shields signature version and there was a 2005 reissue that used germanium transistors, but this is the original (with silicon, counterintuitively). 130
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 06/12/2023Another piece in my Fender oddity collection, the Dimension IV Sound Expander oil can delay, made for Fender with their branding and silverface aesthetic by Tel-Ray. It uses a rotating can filled with oil to “write” your signal to a rubber belt and the oil insulates it to be “read” shortly after. 120
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 06/12/2023I’ll play along, I guess. This is after I put regular 10s on my Antigua Strat after I got it with the standard three springs. Had to poach two more springs from another guitar to get it mostly flush. If you see this, post a bridge. 120
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 06/12/2023I like to collect weird vintage Fender stuff. I’d like to get guitars and amps, but they’re obviously more expensive than the stuff that’s off the beaten path. Like this Electronic Echo Chamber. Apparently it’s the first portable tape delay unit, made from 1963 to 1966. And mine still works! 101
Antigua Telecaster @antiguatelecaster.bsky.social · 02/12/2023Just acquired this Leslie 18 speaker cabinet from the late ‘60s/early ‘70s. I’d heard how rotary speaker simulation guitar pedals don’t recreate the experience of the real thing, which I’m more inclined to believe in this case than I am with things like digital tube amp or tape delay sims. 140
