The title is more poignant than it might at first appear. Like all vultures across Africa and Asia, they are disappearing, the Lappet-faced is classed as Endangered on the IUCN's Red List. Mass poisonings are an obvious threat and the numbers can be sickening, but they face multiple other threats.

I’m pooped! Fantastic trip on to The Skerries off Anglesey today courtesy of the RSPB. Weather was amazing, very calm crossing. Managed to avoid getting pooped on until I was leaving the island. I was not expecting it to be warm! I have at least earned my badge of honour! Photos maybe tomorrow.
