Did You Know? Over 90% of K-2 teachers incorporate brain breaks into their classroom instruction. On average, these breaks last just over 5 minutes each, and are administered “in between instructional activities, as opposed to during the middle of instruction.”

In elementary school, popular break options include dancing and stretching—but even middle, high school, and college students benefit from brain breaks, research has found.
