New immigration stats are out. Firstly, we've seen a decline in net migration of 48%, 171,000, compared to 331,000 for the previous year. This has some fairly serious, mainly negative, implications, even before Labour's draconian anti-immigration policies kick in. 1/18 www.gov.uk/government/s...

TL:DR There are no upsides to figures showing a drop in migration. Reality is: 🚨Fewer jobs for everyone 🚨More pressure on NHS 🚨Billions less for welfare/infrastructure, meaning more cuts 🚨Families ripped apart 🚨Loss of higher education opportunities 🚨More people forced to use irregular routes 18/18

The Synod centers nonviolence, an “emerging” issue for the Church
By Johnny Zokovitch Earlier this week, the General Secretariat of the Synod published the final report of Study Group #9 which proposes to address some of the more difficult questions that the Synod tackled, including the issue of active nonviolence. The authors of the final report made a conscious decision to employ a different terminology than was previously used during the synodal process.
