Today we unveiled a ceremonial street renaming at 3rd and I Street, SW after Lenora Baker, five years after her passing. Lenora was a beloved member of the Southwest community, deeply engaged at Westminster, always an advocate for her community.

I’ve spoken with heads of HSEMA & DDOT. An update: - 1,100+ reports of tree damage have come in. Many are duplicates, but about 400 individual trees seriously damaged - Wards 6 &7 seeing biggest impact - DDOT hard at work prioritizing 20+ crews responding, but this will take days

The west end of Pennsylvania Ave NW is about to undergo a big makeover. This is a project years in the making finally coming to life, set to be complete next summer. Thanks to @GoldenTriDC for the site visit this week. The final road will feel a lot more tight knit and welcoming!

This week I had joined a walk with the Capitol Hill Montessori at Logan community, one of only three schools in the DCPS system to offer Montessori learning. It was great to meet new principal Shelley Gray and meet with staff + parents to troubleshoot how we can make pick-up and drop-off safer.
