I don't have an issue with the McCarthy trade. The Giants don't have a backup QB in case Winston gets hurt. Winston's arm looks shot. McCarthy has a live arm and hasn't really got a full shot to prove himself. Maybe McCarthy needs a change of scenery and Harbaugh's influence #NYGiants #BigBlue

There is something so unique & beautiful about baseball. It evokes a strong feeling of nostalgia while also providing a sense of comfort, normalcy, & routine in a world that has gotten so hectic. To have a voice to your summer is a blessing. It has no equal in sports & we are so lucky to have it.

My last post about Pete's return: We have one thing in common: we are #Mets fans. The vitriol directed at some fans by other fans is horrible. Why do some have to inflate their opinions by insulting others? And worse, tell us that we aren’t “true fans” because we disagree with them. It’s vile.

I don’t think “cheering at a baseball game” is an ethical quandary that rises to the level of warranting a right or wrong judgement but I do think if you give fans nothing to enjoy, its inevitable that some of them are going find something to enjoy that you personally disagree with.

I was not alive when Seaver was traded. But for those who were, try to understand that for this generation, Pete is their Seaver. I get that Seaver was traded & Pete was not. I don't think a lot of fans understand that the cheering going on isn't necessarily for Alonso or against the Mets. It's a form a protest for the season we got due to disastrous decisions by Stearns. This was the only time this year Mets fans could tangibly express their anger to Stearns #MetsSky

A few thoughts prior to Pete's return tonight: I can root for Pete to succeed as an Oriole and still be a #Mets fan. I can understand the decisions that led to his departure and yet still be sorry that he's gone. One thing does not preclude the other. Nothing is that simple.
