Very disappointed that I’m traveling this evening and forgot to pack any gummies to help…I dunno…ease my troubled mind?

Sure I’m a bitter old man, but after seeing a few wish lists of former players running the team next season… I want no one who has been part of this team since 2023 making any decisions on the field or in the front office. Reboot the whole thing.

Can we all relive ourselves of the notion that Hunter Brown is in any way, shape, or form an “ace” now?

And some people want to see Brown twice in a 5 game series…

Astros' brain trust decides to go with 12 pitchers for the WC round. This is with a bullpen game today, and an "ace" who doesn't seem to be able to go much more than 5 innings.

Did the Houston Astros cheat at baseball? Sadly we will never know, because nobody ever wants to talk about it or brings it up ever.

Oh look...another caravan magically appearing just in time for the midterms. Are people still falling for this?

I am unaware that we have more than 3 starters at this point. So if it’s not Brown on 3 days rest, it won’t be Wesneski on 2 days rest, and it can’t be Lambert on 1 days rest…

andyzipp @andyzipp.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

So… Brown Gm1 Wesneski Gm2 Lambert Gm3 (if necessary) ?

Mostly, I’m excited for Sparky. He’s been dry for over 23 months.

Evidently, the postgame celebration will happen in the batting cages because the poor ass A’s visitor locker room is too small and dingy.

Also, I think we’re beyond even my jinxing powers, but if the Astros continue with the result, I hope they dogpile and celebrate. You never know when you’re going to get another chance to make the playoffs. They should take full advantage.

For those that like this sort of thing, this is a pretty great root beer. Aged in Buffalo Trace barrels.

Hey…what would the score be in Indianapolis if Ryans hadn’t stubbornly decided to go for it on 4th and short instead of kicking the easy FG?

Swing wildly at two balls way out of the zone, and then watch a meatball for strike three. Solid plan there, Taylor

In a game where they’re going to need all the pitching they can get? Blanco…unavailable after 30 pitches this week. Lambert…starting the game after throwing 62 pitches 41 hours ago.

andyzipp @andyzipp.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

6/11, 40 yards, 1 TD. That would be an underwhelming drive for a NFL QB. Instead, that’s what a Texans quarterback does in an entire half of football…

120

andyzipp @andyzipp.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

What’s the expectation for Lambert today? An inning? Two?

130

andyzipp @andyzipp.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

How is it possible that somehow the Texans offensive line gets worse every season. Just by sheer luck, you’d think there’d have to be improvement one of these years…

So far, the off-season acquisition of Blankenship is only slightly ahead of the Ed Reed era for the Texans…

andyzipp @andyzipp.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Based on my rooting interest, it is highly possible, and maybe even likely at this point, that the remainder of the football season is completely over before October 1st. It’s times like these that make me wish I had actual hobbies and/or IRL friends.

andyzipp @andyzipp.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Would it be wrong for Fairbairn to just attempt a field goal on 1st down? It would save us from having to watch the offense be this…offensive.

0121

andyzipp @andyzipp.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

So if I watch every minute of this horrible Texans team against an equally bad Colts team, will I earn some Houston karma points for the Astros this afternoon? Because I can’t think of another reason I’d wanna watch the Texans.

Since the advent of iPods and satellite radio it has been entirely possible for me to listen to the same 3 or 4 decades of music without ever hearing anything new. I’m not going to pretend I haven’t ever heard this song. but technology has made it pretty easy to insulate myself from new things.

Question. Supposedly Varsho has been dealing with this wrist issue for 3 months. Brown acquired him 53 days ago. Did Brown ignore this and pick up a player with a known injury? Or did Toronto somehow withhold this information?
