Ok, I have potentially addressed this by diving into the phone settings and changing "default assistant app" to "none"

In order to disable the always-listening "Hey Google" thing that triggers your assistant, you have to fully open the Gemini app ... ... But when I try to do this it complains about my account not having it enabled. So in order to disable it I need to first have it enabled. Smart.

Okay sooooo. Google carried through on their threat and made Gemini the default assistant on Android phones. Gemini isn't enabled on my account (partly because it's a legacy Workspaces account, but also I haven't enabled it because I just don't want that).

Our local hospital has "pay on entry" parking, which is just the most nonsensical because who even knows how long their hospital visit will last? On top of that the first 30 minutes is free and like who even knows.

I understand the urge to fully animate for dialogue, but I have two reasons this should not have been done here 1) I do not enjoy how his tusks move around, those things should be fixed to a rigid skeleton 2) I would prefer he look like a rubber hand puppet, them mouth parts should just be flappin

You know "death of the author" doesn't mean "it's ok to buy it after they're dead", though, right? It just means considering the work in isolation, independent of the author's intent or beliefs; letting it stand or fall on its own merits (In this case, a work that is Not Particularly Good)

Time Bandits. Not any of the peril or threat or sinister villainy through the rest of the movie. Just the bit at the end where - SPOILER - the kid's mum and dad touch the remaining evil and explode. So sudden, so random. So unresolved. This kept me awake at night.
