Scammer of the day. Notice the email address with an extra "S" between gray and wolf. A quick whois lookup shows that the website was created 6 days ago by Myrsisi Stephanides in Nigeria. I wonder if I should contact Myrsini and pretend I'm Interpol? 😅

#TimeTravelAuthors My MCs agree that the past sucks, so neither wants to live in it. However, one secondary character is willing to lose himself in the past because he doesn't want to face the destruction that my antagonist is going to unleash in the present.

#TimeTravelAuthors D3 In all of my books, my heroes are in the past for 2-3 weeks. However, this only amounts to 2-3 days in modern time. In book 2, one character had been stuck in the past for 20 years, which was less than 3 years in normal time. He did not adjust well when he got back home.

1/ Watched Odyssey on the weekend. I intentionally held back all my usuall historical snobbishness and just tried to watch it as a movie. From an acting standpoint, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, and John Leguizamo were great. Tom Holland played himself. Matt Damon was OK.

#TimeTravelAuthors D23 (OK, I'm a bit late) My MCs have too much going on in their lives to have time for pets. However, there are many animals in my stories, especially horses. (Book 3 was in Mongolia). And I had one scene where my FMC killed two war dogs. That one did not please my wife at all. 😠

My characters definitely don't fall for each other at the same time. I think my YA Historical Fiction series has the longest slow burn romance in written form. And for the first few books it's very lopsided in who likes who. #SumLuv

#TimeTravelAuthors D13 Dan's advice for time travel? Don't do it!!! But, if you do have to jump into the past, make sure you fit in. Not fitting in brings all sorts of annoying questions like "Who are you?" and "Why are you here?", usually with pointy weapons involved.

#TimeTravelAuthors D3 My MMC lives in an ambiguous city in New York State, particularly around White Plains. My FMC lives in Virginia, close to Hot Springs. As a Canadian, I originally had my MMC as a Canadian, but story logistics made it necessary to convert him to an American.
