In todays Programme for Government the only mention of data centres is about attracting more of them into Scotland. Communities needed the First Minister to announce an immediate halt to hyperscale data centres applications today. The Scottish Greens will keep pushing for a pause!

It's really harmful to claim that organisations have to follow the guidance, and I don't think trans rights orgs should be doing so. Organisations have to follow the law. The guidance will be influential, but it is not mandatory, and making people think it is, is not good.

Here's what I find funny about the reactions to England sweating against DRC. If Scotland had beaten Morocco in the group stages, very few eyelids would have been batted. Yet the difference in world ranking between Morocco and Scotland is (within a few places) the same as between England and DRC.

This is the problem with having head to head being the first tie-breaker in the world cup, especially with only 8 of the 12 third place teams going through. If Scotland now don't get out of the group it's not the Brazil game that's cost us, it's the Haiti game. It's the one game we were expected to win so 1-0 was never going to be a good enough scoreline for our goal difference. After that *at best* we'd have been on -1. (1/2)

Scotland are in squeaky bum time. 3 points with -2 goal difference is a 63% chance of going through. 3 points with a -3 goal difference is a 42% chance of going through. So both are more or less a coin flip with with the odds slightly for or against us.
