There is a Reclaim the Night protest organised in Glasgow for Monday. There are many local grassroots organisations and unions all pitching in. There has been nothing but the chirping of crickets from any of the TERF orgs who have vast wealth behind them. I need cis folks to understand this.

I've been job hunting for a few months this year and in nearly all of them I've been offered at least some water and in most a tea or coffee. If a company would not hire me for bringing my own it's not a company I'd want to work for anyway as the work culture there must be terrible.

In reality the polling suggest the LD's would 71 seats with their 12%, the GPEW would only get 9 seats. A first past the post system works in a 2 party system, in a multi party system you need a true PR voting system to properly represent the will of the people.

If you don't think even the process of politics is broken in Britain the latest MRP poll gives the Lib Dems and the Green party of England and Wales both 12% of the vote, so you'd think would give them pretty similar numbers of seats in the house of commons in a properly functioning democracy. Does Andy Burnham realise what he's just done? If Scotland should legally be treated equally to Northern Ireland then if you take out the don't knows there is a clear majority for independence in Scotland. If it's to be once in a generation we should have had another referendum 5 years ago. (4/4)

One other note is the UK keeps saying that the referendum in 2014 was a once in a generation vote. The Good Friday agreement, which sets out the road to a referendum in Northern Ireland actually defines what a generation is. Every 7 years. It's been 12 since the last referendum in Scotland. (3/?)

Since the beginning of this year there have been 23 polls using the same question as posed in the independence referendum in 2014, two have shown at least 50% in favour of independence. Taking out the don't knows, 15 of the 23 show a majority in favour of independence. (2/?)

In PMQ's this afternoon Andy Burnhwm said Scotland should legally be on the same footing as Northern Ireland in respect to an independence referendum. That if it appears there is a majority in favour of independence a referendum should be called. (1/?)
