Randy had 5.7 WAR with a 148 ops+ while Julio had 2.8 WAR with a 103 ops+ so Randy was a significantly better player this year but I do agree fans hold Julio to a much higher standard and dog on him too much.

Oh that's unfortunate. I really like the Padres, they're one of my NL teams. I know every fanbase has their ghouls but hate hate hate when fans harass athletes. Only exception is if they're terrible people.

The sweep didn't help but my belief in this Mariners team went down significantly when they decided not to claim Eugenio. He wasn't going to fix this team but he was a valuable player that could be had for next to nothing. This FO balking at $3 million further proved they're not invested.
