Will never forget the 1st night the Hounds and I went to the LA DHS Bldg, physically trying to stop ICE agents from abducting our neighbors. A group of us self-identified lawyers banded together, chanting basic legal rights to abductees. ICE blared their horns in-time to drown us out. Terrorism.

Just after I started sending emails, asking UCLA Hospital why they didn’t maintain rape kits for use with incoming patients, I was (illegally) fired. Firing the mouthy DEI Director was a capitulation to Trump AND a convenient way to assure UCLA powers-that-be I wouldn’t be asking many questions.
