For the record (since a survey just came out, stating 84% of ablebodied people don't know how to talk to disabled people), the correct way to address a disabled person is to say "hello. Nice weather we're having today, isn't it?" It's not to start commenting on said person's disability

One of the most frustrating things about being physically disabled is I have never seen an ablebodied person (who has not had to take care of a disabled parent) understand what it means to be physically disabled Not one. There is just that little education on the topic

I saw someone on the internet today say they regularly have panic attacks before work & want to be treated fairly. In response, someone told them to “grow up.” Somewhere along the line, we figured people shouldn’t share feelings because we think everyone should suffer like us & it’s extremely sad.
