Paxton's buddy, a child rapist, raped a child for 3 fucking years, from the time the child was aged 8 until 11. And Paxton thinks 60 days in the country club prison for rich GOP Texans was sufficient penalty for raping a child for three years? Come on Texas, kick the Paxton trash to the curb in Nov.

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward

After seizing Auchan, Nestlé and Leroy Merlin, Putin today seized Russian assets of German retailer Metro AG as well. That’s the price of staying in Russia after 2022, calling it “neutrality,” and paying taxes that helped bankroll the war. Zero sympathy.

Even as profits soar, corporate tax payments are down 25% this year thanks to Trump and Republicans’ big, ugly bill. One of the main beneficiaries? Big Tech — which is using the tax breaks to help fuel its AI boom as it spends a fortune on the midterm elections. Remember this...

Reminder: Corporate consolidation, like what we've seen over the years in the airline industry, leads to less competition. It gives the biggest remaining corporations the power to rip you off and protect profits because you have fewer options from whom to buy from.

The response when progressive policies that help millions of people are proposed... "How will you pay for it?" The response when the richest 1% ask for tax cuts, or banks ask for bailouts, or defense contractors ask for more contracts... "How much do you need?" It doesn't have to be this way.
