I tend to agree that more tick boxes are not the answer and do not fit with the ethos of the current curriculum. Ultimately, regional anaesthesia isn't really about being able to do every block perfectly. It's that a several anaesthetists have watched a trainee perform blocks and think they can do

We were discussing the strikingly low (2.9%) overall percentage of pts on GLP1 agonists with one of the study authors yesterday. Probably reflects the fact that they can be bought online, hence not on the GP/ hospital records, and that pts don't always disclose they are on them.

Interestingly only 2/19 patients on GLP1 RAs who regurgitated had pulmonary aspiration. Not possible to infer much about anaesthetic technique, especially given the issues were largely at emergence. (Anecdotally find TIVA better for clearer delineation between awake and asleep.)
