The baby woke up in the middle of the night and I took him to the window so we could see the eclipse. But I couldn’t even see the moon! I was so mad I’d missed it. This morning I realized “couldn’t see the moon” is LITERALLY what an eclipse is. Good news, I saw it, and I’m just tired and stupid!

The vast majority of fired fed workers were just fired. There was no deal for them—they were escorted out of their offices and shut out of email. I don’t think any of the fed workers who were given the opportunity and took the deal will end up getting paid anyway, but we’ll see!
