Exciting news everyone! We're officially announcing that QCC is moving to a new unit in the same building and floor! Starting November 1st, we will be operating out of unit 411, which is just down the hall.

gonna be real with you: barely anyone was playing Demon's Souls for the combat. games like Monster Hunter were already doing the intentional weighted combat better by that point. they were playing it for the vibe and the amusing jank. so if you fuck that up, you fuck up the entire appeal.

i saw an interview with the director of the remake. his design philosophy boiled down to them ignoring all artistic considerations until the 11th hour because they were hyper-focused on the "combat loop" basically they applied game jam logic to a fully-funded AA classic remake

Reading The AI Con and in addition to being remarkably easy to read, sharp and laugh-out loud funny, it's also got some remarkably sharp insight: generated images do not fuck with our brains like generated text does. I wonder what this implies for code...
