I have never understood what the phoenix is all about in the logo, but yours looks like it could have “evolved” from the old one and it looks like chemistry

The juxtaposition of the Sirens logo and the ACS logo being revealed on the same day with two very different reactions

The video irritated me even more than the logo

If the world is united, why does it need a bridge? Also, if you have to explain that the logo is, it seems like it’s not a very good logo.

Do you teach #online #college #chemistry classes? If so, what successes have you had? What advice would you give? Tonight marks the end of my seventh semester and I am discouraged.

Lots of people get the 3-drawer plastic storage bins. Get 2 and put on wheels and zip tie back-to-back. Slide under bed. Slide out and flip when you need something on back. Saves space and makes efficient use of under bed. H/T TikTok for this great idea. Zip ties are great. Take zip ties.

Our best hack was to find reason to move in before 1st year move-in day- one of mine did marching band all four years so moved in 7 days early; other kid did marching band year 1 and then orientation leader year 2 and 3. Lots of schools have early 1st year experience. Gives more time to adjust.

Daughter will be 3rd year, 5 hr from home. We leave home the day before move in and stay in hotel so we can move in as early as available. Take hand truck and wagon. Pack snacks and water, tools, mallet, tape. Buy the college blue bags for packing.

I’m the only person I know who didn’t hate her education classes in college (I loved mine!) and that was because of Dr Kathy Feather (RIP) at Hiram College who practiced every single thing she preached. Classes went by in a shot, were action packed, actually taught people to be teachers.

But worse in education because of scale - classroom or school of users instead of individual - and and risk. An adult choosing to use AI is different from children being told to or encouraged to *instead* of learning
