The Lost Story by Meg Shaffer is a delightful read so far. There's been a reference to The Last Unicorn and many many Narnia references. I've just gotten to the Big Reveal and while I did start to suspect something along those lines, it was even better than I anticipated. I fucking love books

My nesting partner has to have urgent shoulder surgery and will not be able to use his right arm for months. My dog is recovering from knee surgery before she needs her second knee surgery. I am still in recovery from 4 knee surgeries. I don't know how we are going to get through, I genuinely don't.

I'm reading Jane Eyre for the first time. I saw the National Theatre play during lockdown so I do know the story. I am spending half my time yelling "he locked his wife in the attic!" while Rochester tries to befriend Jane. The writing is beautiful but this is a horror story, not a romance!

Sometimes I forget how important it is to be able to just watch The Office to help my regulation. It is somewhat frustrating that my spouseman finds it too "cringe" to watch often enough for me. I've watched 6 episodes today. It's really really helped.

Mabel is spending the day at the hospital again. Being a dog owner influences literally every single decision I make in life and has since I met Gimli. As horrendously stressful as it all is, my dogs mean the world to me. And yes, I only have 1 right now but my boys are in my heart forever.
