A close encounter with tigress Choti Madhu at Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve! This magnificent tigress was following us and I was continuously shooting with my Canon R6 Mark III/RF100-500mm. She kept appearing larger and larger in the frame (this photo is loaded uncropped), but I didn't realize how close she was until I stopped shooting and looked up. She was only about 3 meters (10 feet) away. At that point I just took in the beauty of this majestic animal!🙏

A friend drove two hours today for her breast cancer chemotherapy only to learn it was canceled due to NIH cuts. Clinical trial ended midstream. No treatment, no restart, no plan, no information. Her bro-in-law's chemo was also canceled.

I remember the cystic fibrosis patients I took care of 20 years ago. I also remember the dedicated HIV wards in the hospitals, and that Princess Diana made headlines for shaking hands with AIDS patients. Progress has been incredible. Miracles are where you choose to see them.
