A Walla Walla, WA newspaper editor in 1951 advocated rooting out the Marxists and Communists, claiming that the Democratic president had been too attentive to the rights of minorities and insufficiently respectful of the rights of White Christians. That editor was Syd Pierce, an antisemitic fascist.
