Amberley Museum @amberleymuseum.bsky.social · 02/10/2026We've just discovered that #RodentoftheDay is a thing and are very excited. This is one of our Rodents. His name is Boracchio. 0171
Amberley Museum @amberleymuseum.bsky.social · 02/10/2026#FindsFriday is usually about inanimate objects, so we thought we'd make a change. This is a swarm of bees that was found on site earlier this year. They were being very busy... 070
Amberley Museum @amberleymuseum.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Perhaps they should have included the Batman disguise. 062
Amberley Museum @amberleymuseum.bsky.social · 25/09/2026We're hoping that #FindsFriday includes display items that we hadn't noticed before. We really like this Cat Clock in the Electricity Hall, which dates to c.1950. The tail swings as it ticks! 2172
Amberley Museum @amberleymuseum.bsky.social · 24/09/2026#AdoorableThursday We have several living vans dotted around, as they were attached to the Road Steam engines when they were in use. They all seem to have stable doors, like this example which lives next to the Telephone Exchange building. 090

Amberley Museum @amberleymuseum.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Amberley is always unexpected. We found our Plumbers making 3 models of Michelangelo's David. Obviously. 030
Amberley Museum @amberleymuseum.bsky.social · 11/09/2026We thought this was a good picture for International Cloud Appreciation Day. We took this years ago and have never seen anything quite like it since! 050
Amberley Museum @amberleymuseum.bsky.social · 09/09/2026For many years, Amberley Museum was patrolled (pawtrolled) by cats. They were very useful, as rodents are not a good mix with electrical wire and cabling and we have an awful lot of that. And rodents. These are the memorials to the (in)famous Chalk and Pepper, with Nelson in the background. 061
Amberley Museum @amberleymuseum.bsky.social · 04/09/2026We posted this earlier - 'I saw a meme today that said that books are proof that strangers can meet across centuries and still understand each other.' This applies to many items in museums. How many objects have you seen where you can recognise how people from another time/civilisation used it? 2152

Amberley Museum @amberleymuseum.bsky.social · 03/09/2026#Adoorablethursday The doors to the Arundel Gin Building that houses our Plumbers' Workshop. Nothing to do with gin, we're afraid, but housed a horse-powered engine! 060

Amberley Museum @amberleymuseum.bsky.social · 20/08/2026It's National Radio Day! We have some very cool old radios to admire, many of which still work.
