I’m glad investigative energy is being put into providers defrauding our systems, instead of just on the people receiving services. I worked w/ folx on welfare for 18 yrs. It’s hard enough for them just to get & keep benefits, most aren’t trying to defraud anyone.

This is DEEPLY important! Knowing the why doesn’t create change. We can understand all our whys, how we got here, who contributed, but then we need to behave differently. Knowing why can be helpful; but w/o knowing what to do differently or how to do it, we can keep falling in the same damn hole 😫

Got my flu vaccine and COVID vaccine this week. Here’s to keeping my NOVID status, 6 years & running. Next month at my doc visit, I’ll likely get the RSV vax. As a 50y.o. w/ asthma, I’m at high risk of severe illness if exposed to RSV. What’s your self care and/or community care look like today?

In trauma recovery we train ourselves to let go of hypervigilance-- not because it's "stupid," but because it's an inefficient tool if our actual goal is safety. Hypervigilance exhausts us without really moving the needle on safety. It's a security blanket w/ holes in it.
