Ive been at least slightly productive while I'm sick! While I can't show you everything ive sketched, I should show off this lovely lady #Sangheili! That I've been making a story with since September! Im not fully happy with her armour, so I might toy around with it more later

A lightly armored Sangheili crouched behind a box, looking over it at something. The hilt of her energy sword clutched in her right hand.

A little black cat with large, round eyes wears silver armour and holds a shield and a raised sword. It sits on green grass beneath a softly blended pink, purple and blue sky. White handwritten text above reads: “I will fall, but I will get up. I will fail, but I will try again. I might be scared sometimes, but there’s a brave little heart in me.”

No stream tonight. (and potentially tomorrow too depending on how things go) I don't know what sort of bug I caught over the weekend, but I can't talk without ending up in a coughing fit. Gonna do my best to rest and recover 🤒

assuming I'd need to be 13 to make an account, (as of Discord's own TOS, section 2 line 1, they could have ballparked in reasonable faith 'oh! this person is over 20!' but noooooooooo

I was off by a little bit with account age, but it was created on OCT 22 2016. WTF.

Amalga @amalga.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Well.... it's finally happened. I've had this discord account for over ten(10) years, and i'm UNCATEGORIZED? due to age verification being generally unsafe, the stream discord link has been officially removed.

FA regardless of your personal feelings, is the core of the fandom and losing it would mean YEARS AND YEARS of art, messages, pages, and memorials for people that have passed, would be gone. We CANNOT allow ourselves to rely simply on sites like bsky, twitter, insta, etc. etc. to be our defaults.

Good news everyone! The severe portion of the storm passed by us really quickly, and now there's nothing but a lightish steady rain, and some odd flashes and thunder. I'm planning to take the rest of the night to more or less recover mentally/emotionally 💜 This bold and family is safe!

Techbros seem to love Tolkien, so here's an analogy to help you understand what genAI is. GenAI is The One Ring. You think your use is justified, b/c you don't have evil in your heart. But it came from evil, it is intended for evil purpose, & anything you do with it will be twisted to that end.

Boromir from THE LORD OF THE RINGS, holding The One Ring. He thought he could use it for good, but everything done with the ring turns to evil. He was one of the mightiest warriors of middle earth, and he could not resist its powers. Others even mightier fell to the ring. Do you think you are stronger than them? The One Ring is generative AI.

No stream tonight. Flood cleanup efforts are ongoing and it is an all beans on deck scenario for this part of it.

Amalga @amalga.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

Due to not being able to make it an official redeem through twitch, I'll be keeping an eye out for every 500 bits or 10 gift subs. Depending on how the week goes, I may be opening up other options to support and repay, but I'll know better on that front as things go

Amalga @amalga.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

After taking time to look at the damage, I'm temporarily bringing back the 'make the kobold sing' redeem for bits and gift subs to try and help ease the funds on my family at least a little bit.

Flood 2 update part 2 (electric boogaloo): Cleanup efforts are ongoing and being a three person job. I will not be able to stream tonight as I am doing my best to help evacuate belongings to the next floor up. Fingers crossed the forecasted rain this week doesn't happen.

First waking up to a *red* tornado warning, now the second flood in a week. We're luckier than most due to our quick mitigation of it, thank the powers that be, but this is ridiculous. Not looking forward to the panic attack and adrenaline crash soon...

110 1

Amalga @amalga.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

if I had a nickel for every time i was woken up by a tornado warning, i'd have two nickels. I'm okay, the danger was south of me and didn't get anywhere near us. I hope those that were in the path are okay though...

Amalga @amalga.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

I have put my voice out there. You should too for the safety of the platform. I dont know if it'll make a change, but it doesnt hurt to try. As for my streams if this happens... I'll need to act with as much information and a clear mind as possible.

Amalga @amalga.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

After taking some time to see how things are, I can confirm I will not be streaming tonight and instead taking time to recover. I hope to be okay for tomorrow though. But to sumarrize, if I had not checked the basement when I did, we would have lost a lot of important books and papers.

Amalga @amalga.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

Physically everything is fine. We'll, minus the echoing nausea from the panic attack I had before going to sleep. Its the psychological that im worrying about right now, especially since i still feel like im not all here right now

Amalga @amalga.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

Oh my gods. We were hit by a larger storm than expected and things have flooded. At the moment i have no idea if i will be able to stream tomorrow? Today? Whichever the Tuesday stream lads on as it is just after 4AM. Ill try to keep you guys updated, but I can't promise due to genuinely panicking. 😭
