Two excellent studies of fascism in Italy and Germany, focused on how the personality cults around Mussolini and Hitler took hold. Remarkably, both of them, though chief instigators of ruthless violence and disruption, came to be seen as the ones who would finally restore order and stability.

@dielinkebt.bsky.social is basically the only major party in Germany whose policies would benefit the majority: freezing rent prices, expropriating large real estate companies, raising the minimum wage and social security (pensions, etc), taxing the rich. And they are at 3% atm. It’s frustrating.
