An interesting attempt to defend Cold War #liberalism. Still, feels that this just strengthens @samuelmoyn.bsky.social 's case against it. Scepticism, anthropological pessimism and Hobbesianism are #conservative rather than liberal positions - and could potentially limit emancipatory projects.
