New blog post time! This week's game is Battle Monsters, a fighting game that sometimes gets mistaken as a "Mortal Kombat clone", but is actually much different and far more interesting. Silly characters, grimy aesthetics, and even a bit of platforming made this a pleasant surprise: #blog #gaming

I’m often a sucker for a janky fighting game, but I gotta say, Battle Monsters impressed me! It’s jank, for sure, but there’s a lot more going on under the hood than at first glance. Once you reali…

Many people, myself included, didn't expect Mark Davis, despite his talent, to do as well as he has in AEW. He's been impressive in more than his fair share of wins. He also looks like every other heel in the 70s, except he showers. He's made me a believer. #AEWDynamite #AEWGrandSlamFrance

Probably burned my remaining bridges in the business, but I recently put out a statement regarding the increasing use of “generative AI” in British indie wrestling.

I’ve seen more and more promotions and wrestlers using generative AI, some of whom I work with, and I want to make something VERY clear:

I do not give anybody permission to use my likeness in any AI-generated posters, promos, clips, etcetera, and I consider any such use to be a personal and professional violation.

Do not feed me to a tech company’s algorithm. They’ve stolen enough of my writing and video material for their “AI training” already. That’s how Alleged Intelligence works, by the way - it’s a plagiarism tool, regurgitating every shred of “content” fed to it.

Leaving aside the horrific impact AI data centers have on the environment, you’re not creating anything by typing prompts into a box. Why should anyone be impressed with some cool photoshoot, promo, or move when you didn’t really do it? At best, Alleged Intelligence is self-insert reality fanfic and it makes wrestling truly live up to its reputation as fake.

I won’t try to sway you away from it, but I hope you reconsider and really look into AI. Whatever you do, leave me out of it.

Commander Sterling.

I think social media would be a more pleasant space if, before typing an angry response to something, people stepped back and thought about "in the context of everything I can surmise, did this person *actually* have malicious intent with this"
