Two different people that I talked to this week were surprised to find out that, in Spanish, a vowel with an accent mark is pronounced the same as the same vowel without the accent. I thought that was a widely-known thing, but maybe not?

The Spanish government sent me an email today confirming that my electronic ID was approved after my video-identification from June 3, 2025. The electronic ID app doesn't work outside of Spain, so whatever process I wanted to complete 18 months ago will likely have to wait some more.

That type of playlist will become the default. Users will have to literally jump through 20 hoops (3 of them in flames), send a fax to Spotify with a signed in blood request, and pledge allegiance to the great state of Tomainia, to change the playlist type to something that will pay the artists.

If you've worked with me, you know I am 100% for using "we" and "us" instead of "I" or "me"... but let me tell you, at a corporate level, it may cost you more than you gain: managers used it against me in end-of-year reviews time and time again, and many coworkers mistook it for hesitation or doubt.

I am really excited about these two. For JSConf MX, you'd think that I would have learned about the risks of live coding and I would avoid it by now, but the thing is... I kind of enjoy it. And I'll do it again (if given the chance). I'm working on timing (running long) but I think it'll be fun.

I made a new PostCSS plugin for the new CSS `corner-shape: squircle`. It creates smooth corners like in iOS (and nature). The plugin adjusts `border-radius` for squircle geometry and can add `corner-shape` automatically. github.com/postcss/post...
