aaaaaahhhhh I must've missed the first announcement email about this tour, because the first I heard of it was today, when the TICKETS NOW ON SALE email arrived! and yes, I did buy a ticket within 10 minutes of getting the email. <.< Thank Altana I had an extra-big paycheck recently and could do so!

lmao, because I wrote this news post and ALSO considered making that joke. I'm also working on a newbie guide in CoN's forums! Thread is here: www.cavesofnarshe.com/forums/ipb/i... And hint: I play on Valefor, if anyone is looking to start the game and wants help.

My daughter's been playing #FF7Rebirth again lately and it reminded us of this snapshot I got during my first playthrough a couple years back. She wanted Bsky to see it.

Oh, Aerith, you silly girl... When I was streaming the games, I often said, "Stop parkouring, Aerith!" because as I was moving she'd jump over obstacles in her path. So seeing her like this does not surprise me at all.

I can't make it any clearer for people who don't care about trans/immigrant/etc. rights on their own merits: If ANYONE'S rights to existence/bodily autonomy/privacy are negotiable, then EVERYONE'S rights are negotiable. EVEN YOURS.

Sending you strength, Sena. I'm so sorry to hear you're struggling. I know what that's like, and it's really rough and sucky. I'm wishing you the best and hope things improve soon. Have some pictures of my sister's dog who I just had the delight of watching for a week. She's a very good girl!

You know, when you find out that the art you like is made by people you've learned hold views you find wholly repugnant, I don't think you need to disavow ever having enjoyed the art. It's okay to acknowledge you liked or loved that art, but are now putting it aside. That was then, this is now.

The car is finished! Yay! The fundraising is at 1013/4000! Double yay! My mechanic doesnt offer financing, though, so that remaining 3k is unfortunately important. Please, if you're able, consider tossing a couple bucks my way.

"Scruffy". It's a book about dogs, but what a thrilling story. Made me want to become an author myself so that people could experience what I experienced while reading it. I've found other ways to be creative now, but it was very formative! And yes, also A WRINKLE IN TIME, loved it. <3

People, young and old, came to the witch for directions. "I seek adventure." "I seek wisdom." "I need a place to feel at home." "I feel like I need to cry, but I can't." The witch listened, and told all where to find what they sought. And the local library thrived. #CrossRepost

It is important to keep this in circulation

Insult Deflection or Insult Reflection is a single-panel cartoon illustrating the effects one's insults or other forms of verbal attacks directed at a disliked person can inadvertently have on their mutuals, depicting a stick figure shooting at another, who then deflects it into a third person. Spawned by a viral Tumblr post about bodyshaming, the cartoon has been used as an exploitable meme since June 2022.

Here’s the thing about Y2K, the ozone layer, etc. The most leftist—in the sense of *valuing labor*—thing you can do is reject the brainwashing that tells you that heroism is running into a burning building and not the slow, patient, boring, unglamorous work of *preventing* disaster.

That's the settings I use when streaming KH, though I stream from my PS4, not the Steam version. But I don't see why it wouldn't be the same settings. HAVE FUN! Kingdom Hearts is a great series. I'll try to tune in if I can!

110

Althea Valara @altheavalara.games · 18/08/2026

In OBS, go to File -> Settings -> Output. Under Streaming Settings, click the box next to "Twitch VOD track" and select the radio button next to 2, then click Apply and OK. People will still hear the music when you're live, but it won't be recorded on the VOD, so will help prevent copyright strikes!

110

Althea Valara @altheavalara.games · 18/08/2026

Yay! I should warn you that Disney is very protective of its copyright, and it's not unusual to end up with Muted Audio on the Twitch VODs. I've had it happen to me, alas. It's the music that is the problem. You can tell OBS to not record the music, though! (1/2)

210

Althea Valara @altheavalara.games · 18/08/2026

Okay, so it should be pretty simple then! 1. Open OBS 2. Open the game you want to stream 3. Tab back to OBS. Optional: create a new scene. 4. Create a new Window Capture source. In its dialogue box, select the window name from the dropdown. I think that should do it? That's what I did for FFXI.

130

Althea Valara @altheavalara.games · 18/08/2026

I get around the drawbacks by monitoring my own stream from a tablet with a secondary Twitch account I have. That account has mod access to my channel, and this way I can see people chatting, if that happens sometimes

210

Althea Valara @altheavalara.games · 18/08/2026

I haven't yet streamed a Steam game, but I do stream Final Fantasy XI on Twitch, direct from my PC, using OBS on the same PC. There's drawbacks to that, such as needing to be tabbed out of OBS to actually play the game - I haven't yet figured out a way to get dual monitors working with OBS and FFXI.

120

Althea Valara @altheavalara.games · 18/08/2026

I was just looking into other streaming platforms besides Twitch, and so discovered that Steam has its own built-in streaming thingy: steamcommunity.com/updates/broa... I haven't used it at all though! So I don't know how it works.

So sad to hear this. Loved her on Heroes, but also in Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2. I had just been wondering in the past few days what she was up to lately, so this news is hitting a bit hard.

I intend to come back to streaming on October 22nd, when Final Fantasy Resonance comes out. Because I *must* play that game. Yes. Might come back sooner, but definitely then.

Dropping in because I'm procrastinating from knitting. Life continues to be good. I'm busy as heck but very content. Hope you're all doing well! One thing of news: I'm taking a break from streaming for a while, mostly because I'm too busy and lacking a desire to play games.

Althea Valara @altheavalara.games · 16/08/2026

It was always a given that I'd play KH4, but I have to admit the trailers up to now didn't really excite me. This one, though... this is the KH I know and love and I'm getting hyped for the next game. Looking forward to it!
