Someone take gpose and Close in the Distance away from me I stfg 🤣

Altan ❄️ NG+ Go Brrr @altanirynsi.etheirys.social · 7h

NG+ *might* have me returning those EW patches to Altan's canon but I'm not holding out hope. I'll cross that bridge when I get there but I *highly* doubt WoLG'raha will become canon again simply because of other stuff I'm cooking in the lead up to Evercold.

Altan ❄️ NG+ Go Brrr @altanirynsi.etheirys.social · 7h

I struck patches 6.1-6.3 from #WoLTan's canon years ago. WoLG'raha was a thing from... about 5.0 through 6.2. Broke it off because I couldn't justify #WoLTan continuing to WoL after Endwalker nor G'raha just being okay with his hero *letting* the bad things happen. #5.0Spoilers

Numbers are approximate since I'm using the closest dates I can find of the irl Tsagaan Sar this year, converting them to Eorzea's calendar, then walking backwards a few days.

Altan ❄️ NG+ Go Brrr @altanirynsi.etheirys.social · 13/10/2026

Altan's nameday doesn't neatly fit into Eorzea's calendar, as it's a few days before the start of Tsagaan Sar (and thus ~6 days before the Naadam) So his nameday this year was 17th of the 1st Umbral Moon, and last year it was 30th Sun. Very rarely it'll land in the 2nd Astral Moon. #wolaotd #RPTan

That post was honestly so funny for me 'cause I skipped that story the first time, and also Leofard never stood a chance in hell with Altan so the entire time, Altan's at best cluelessly missing every hint and at worst actively avoiding the him. 🤣 Squenix said they fucked and Altan said "No?????"

It's not perfect but there used to be a plugin called Easy Eyes that lets you target and remove most vfx elements (and leave the pieces you like). Pain in the *ass* to set up but once it's set I'm p sure it just ran on its own? Idk if it's still maintained anymore though

Okay this is driving me up a wall but anyone know of a plugin or smth for XIV that adds sfx captioning? The amount of shit I've apparently missed because it's an important sound effect/motif that I can't hear is so frustrating! There's captions for the talking! Why not important sfx!

Tbh nothing I haven't rehashed before. Being a very direct and literal person when analyzing any media is a blessing and a curse. I did not say the character or story is Good or well-written. I said I like them. These are not the same thing.

Altan ❄️ NG+ Go Brrr @altanirynsi.etheirys.social · 04/10/2026

#WoLTan isn't bothered by flying, and usually just kinda guides without necessarily steering. Hell, usually he just walks. Don't let #RPTan drive. Don't put him on a boat. Maybe airship. He doesn't tend to like Transportation, but that's the trust issues stacking with his blindness. #wolaotd

An fair-skinned elezen woman with black hair with red highlights. She's facing away from the camera, with a ruby red Edenmorn Twinfang slung over her shoulder. She's wearing the Neo-Ishgardian Top of Fending dyed wine red, and is backlit to create an uneven ruby red outline of her body against the black background. All the color except red have been removed.

#RPTan has a bench in Coerthas next to a patch of overgrowth. Don't go in the overgrowth. Everything in there is fair game. #WoLTan likes flying up to the tops of the spires in Ishgard and hiding out up there. No one else can really bother him or thinks to look for him that high up. #wolaotd

#WoLTan 's... conflicted. A mixture of grief and relief. Especially later into MSQ, he felt like people used him as a weapon more than a person. Now the weapon is "broken" and he can finally retire to some degree. The boredom sets in quick though.

No need to apologize, #RPTan already died once and loved every borrowed moment with the love of his life. Also if the food isn't cute (eg. finger sandwiches shaped like kittens) then whoever executed his will is going to need an executor themselves soon. Make the food cute! #wolaotd
