Oh I did this one already! He's had a crystal necklace since he was 19, as a gift from his first partner (technically fiancé) Ganzaya. *slaps Altan across the back* This bad boy can fit so much trauma--

Altan sitting on a rock with his leg propped up close to his chest while Ganzaya attaches a blue crystal necklace around Altan's neck. Both are smiling serenely at the other.

I'm sorry this one was just too hilarious not to post given the gpose spree I've been on 🏳️‍🌈🤣 #WoLTan #wolaotd

An Incorrect Quote generation that says: Estinien: Are you sure Altan's even gay? They barely even looked at me.

Altan and another male Xaela, Ganzaya, embracing and kissing. They're lit in warm golds from the sunset.

A rare not-WoL screenshot of Altan but I had to 'cause I finally got these damn wings and I'm so fucking happy! 😍 #AltanXIV #7.0Spoilers (spoiler tagged out of an abundance of caution)

Altan in a glowing constellation dress with a fan of crystals across his back and forming a crown while he smirks at the camera. Behind him, the Wings of Resolve are fanned out.

Ifrit's Bane AKA, That Time I Had so Many Thoughts Following Ifrit That I Didn't Gpose at all for a Bit #AltanXIV #AltanMSQ #2.0Spoilers #Gposers #Gpose #AuRa #Xaela

Altan, laying on his side, lit in blueish teal so the white of his jacket collar appears to glow crystalline blue. He's partially blurred out, with the main focus being the restrained Immortal Flames soldiers and civilians lit in an ominous, blazing red.

The things we work around for that perfect angle 🤣

The corner where the previous image was taken, showing the large, brightly glowing solo duty indicator just behind the camera.

A bonus #gpose this morning. I woke up early and part of my brain said "backlit stabby elf lady" #AltanXIV #GPosers #Elezen #ElezenHours

An fair-skinned elezen woman with black hair with red highlights. She's facing away from the camera, with a ruby red Edenmorn Twinfang slung over her shoulder. She's wearing the Neo-Ishgardian Top of Fending dyed wine red, and is backlit to create an uneven ruby red outline of her body against the black background. All the color except red have been removed.

"No, Thancred, I *don't* know why it has to be me doing this." Sometimes I wish this game would let us go "wtf no????" Thankfully, Altan can be sneaky too. #WoLTan #AltanMSQ #AltanXIV #Gpose #Gposers #AuRa #Xaela #Thanalan

Altan in a low crouch with his back to the camera as he hides to watch an Amalj'aa archer walk by. He's lit from the side by warm torch light and from above by cool moonlight.

Altan kneeling by some boxes and an empty cage in the Amalj'aa camp, inspecting a coil of rope. He's barely lit in the front by warm torch light.

Altan reaching out to the queer leaflet he found in an Amalj'aa camp. He's lit in warm torch light and cool moonlight.

Scion of the Seventh Dawn. He got an outfit change for joining the Scions! #WoLTan #AltanMSQ #Gpose #Gposers #AuRa #Xaela

Altan leaning against the wall, with an open book in one hand while he looks towards the bookshelf he's standing next to. He's in a long, brown leather coat with a ruffled white collar, sleek black pants, and brown leather boots. His Dotharl bow is still prominently on his back.

A most reluctant job. AKA. That time I almost struck an entire dungeon from Altan's canon and had to talk myself into why he would agree to this shit. #WoLTan #AltanMSQ #AltanXIV #Gpose #Gporsers #AuRa #Xaela

I made these instead of NG+ing more. There's about 4 more pages where that came from. My hand hurts 😅 #ffxiv #AltanMSQ #WoLTan

More of Altan's journal notes of his character's thoughts throughout MSQ, including the end of the Scion section. They read as follows:

Scion (continued).
Altan doesn't immediately agree to join the Scions because he wants more information on them. He does not have retainers because he likes doing stuff himself. Physically talking is also not natural for him.

Altan recognizes the good will (such as retainers and getting the password), however these don't hold much weight with him. He spends a few weeks doing odd jobs and getting to know them. he also tests the extent of their goodwill a lot, including using Scion influence and resources to start learning sign language.

Altan is wary, but not untrusting. "We Scions have but one objective: to safeguard the future of Eorzea." That is the line that gets Altan to join.

His outfit changes when he joins the Scions. He's no long representing Gridania, and picks something more suited to the variety and intensity of work with the Scions. It's lightly armored, with closed-toed boots, and more pockets. He still has his Dotharl bow and necklace.

At the bottom is the red header for the next section titled "Ifrit's Bane", and the page below it is blank.

"It is an unquenchable thirst for the unknown that drives us into the wilds time and again." - Isildaure, outside of Sastasha Seagrot #AltanMSQ #AltanXIV #WoLTan #Gpose #AuRa #Xaela

Altan walks by the teal font of aether at the entrance of Sastasha.

Altan crouches next to a rock wall, looking into the main, brightly-colored cavern of Sastasha.

Altan searches through barrels and sacks stored in Sastasha.

Altan and a Sastasha pirate both take aim at each other.
