Several weeks ago, Phil Tippett's legendary animation studio in Berkeley, CA closed. An anonymous hero noticed a folder of CDs. This turned out to be hundreds of unseen hi-res images and videos from Star Wars, Robocop, Jurassic Park, etc. ~90 isos for you to browse: archive.org/details/tipp...

A casual Star Wars alien fella at the cantina, in a sun faded, reddish photo. Someone will be mad at me for not knowing who this is.

Phil, a balding Caucasian man, poses a model of the garthok, an antagonist from the Coneheads movie.

Phil, a balding caucasian man, points at some CG on a CRT computer monitor, as a younger man looks on. The screen shows a model of a dinosaur attacking a jeep, while there's an actual physical model of that event in the foreground for reference.

an isolated shot of a star wars vehicle. Sorry, I don't know star wars lol

Me when a fly gets into the house:

A panel from Flowers of Evil by Shūzō Oshimi. The characters Nakamura and Kasuga are shouting "SHITBUGS!!" over and over.

🚨🚨 SURPRISE!!!! 🚨🚨 I've had the unbelievable privilege of working with the magnificent people at Stoke Kite to help build something huge over the last few years. They've been hard at work on some ridiculously cool shit and I'm honored to have been able to contribute my design work to this project.

One Zero One #1

We taught them to think for us. Fight for us. Take care of us. We handed the machines everything they needed to make themselves irreplaceable, and they used it to make us disposable. Now humanity face...

Absolutely! I caught the first couple of episodes at a cinema screening and they showed a nice little doc after it. I was DELIGHTED to see how much screen time they gave the composers.

today's hardware designers could never conceive of what Kazuo Kawasaki was doing in 1996

A colorful retro computer setup featuring a purple keyboard, a small teal touchpad, and a teal circular CD-ROM drive with a matching keypad-style controller resting on top. The hardware is arranged against a dark background in a vivid purple-and-turquoise color scheme.

Wendy Carlos should be on the 20 dollar bill. There should be a 50-foot-tall, solid-gold statue of her in Pawtucket. You should be able to buy all her albums in any format you want and a line of custom branded synths. She should be a household name along with Bob Moog.

Thank yooouu!!! Yeah making it safe was obviously the number one concern and I had heard too many horror stories about people using inappropriate heaters and it going very badly! Was actually relatively cheap to get the proper heater, but getting a good and appropriate transformer was EXPENSIVE.

If eating a big green jelly with a load of mackerel or something brings them joy, then they have my UTMOST RESPECT And while I won't be chompin' it any time soon, I do so love reading those unhinged recipes

Genuinely, this is what bothers me the most, it's fundamentally changed my relationship with art where I'm greeting it initially with skepticism and scrutiny, I never want to feel that way about art.

For an added bit of weirdness, I recorded that little cover after finding some sheet music for it sitting on my bed. Absolutely no idea where it came from. A mystery fit for York and Zach!

Oh cheers!! I'll definitely fire it your way when it goes up (a week or so I think). And hell yeah, biiiiig influence on how I approached my PMA tracks! Haha you can imagine how jazzed I was when I found out Swery was voicing a character in the game.
