Sie war krank und schwach und stellte für niemanden eine Gefahr dar. Es wurde entschieden, sie von dort zu evakuieren. Kämpfer der Nahal-Brigade luden sie gefesselt und mit verbundenen Augen auf einen Hummer. Dann erhielt einer der Offiziere einen Anruf. Nach Aussagen, die HaMakom gesammelt hat, hielt der Offizier mitten auf dem Weg an, holte die alte Frau aus dem Fahrzeug, erschoss sie und fuhr weiter. Die beiden anderen Soldaten im Fahrzeug waren fassungslos. "Befehle von oben", erklärte ihnen der Offizier.”

Schuld am Antisemitismus sind jene, die ihn bekämpfen, scheinen die Aktivisten Alon Sahar, Anne Gräfe und Ralf Michaels in einem Debattenbeitrag für die taz zu denken. Das eigentliche Problem sei darum der "Antiantisemitismus", der den Antisemitismus durch ein Herumreiten auf der "Staatsräson" überhaupt erst hervorbringe. Ihr Beispiel für ein falsches Verständnis der Antisemitismusbekämpfung ist die Berliner "Fördergeldaffäre", wo Organisationen unterstützt worden seien, die anders als die sonst von der taz stets veteidigten "Organiationen der Zivilgesellschaft" keine Förderung verdient gehabt hätten, etwa das Zera Institute von Maral Salmassi. "Darin zeigt sich das tiefere Problem, das sich derzeit in Deutschland herausbildet: Antisemitismusbekämpfung im Sinne der Staatsräson ist zu einer Form politischen Kapitals geworden. Dadurch hat Antiantisemitismus an Legitimität verloren und damit auch an Wirksamkeit. Wenn Standards selektiv angewandt werden und Förderverfahren so intransparent sind, verschwindet das öffentliche Vertrauen in den Kampf gegen Judenfeindlichkeit." Schlimm seien auch "offizielle jüdische Institutionen", die selbst entscheiden wollen, was sie als Antisemitismus betrachten.
