New #rstats 📦: mediacloud2 (happy about name recommendations). Since the exitsting R packages were stale and I needed data, I wrote a new package. MediaCloud is an amazing resource for getting news media data, especially if you rehydrate the articles (e.g., through paperboy).

Telecommunication. When my parents immigrated in 1990 my mom wrote letters to my grandparents, and had sporadic and very expensive international calls. I’ve also immigrated away from my family but we can speak as frequently as we want and instantly with great ease.
