The thing is, I like that designers going back to Hybrid Insector. This just feels…sloppy. I’m dubious since some of the early images we got were clearly AI’d since there some obvious artifacts. Maybe somewhere in production it got fed through something, or internal revisions, but it has the stink.

As someone who does have OoT nostalgia, them saying the remake is designed to evoke it rings hollow. It seems to hide the 90s anime vibe of pointy features and painted texture so you only get glimmers. It’s like Wind Waker remake without cartoony character design.
